There may be an election tomorrow ( May 22nd) but the ongoing work of your Councillor & Lib Dem team does not stop and here is a quick snap shot of what is happening at the moment:

First is the Crossroads at Westborough and Westbourne Grove:  As you will see, the red skin non-slip has been applied, which increases the visibility of the Speed Cushions. The No Left Turn is to be repainted.

In addition, a KEEP CLEAR has been painted across the junction to make sure Westborough Residents can drive safely across the Crossroads when traffic is backed up from London Road.   Lastly, after another traffic accident early last week at this Crossroads I have made a formal Members request to the Traffic Working Party to have investigate and if agreed, to install Traffic Light controls.

Then we have reported the following:

  • Crater in the carriageway in Wenham Drive; Council have agreed to temporary fill this week and re surface the immediate area.
  • The parking of vehicles in Hildaville where cars park over the hard standing and have lifted the paving stones.
  • The raised kerb in Fairfax Drive, after conversation with a concerned resident, a meeting will be held on site with the Council Officer soon.
  • The tree stumps in Tintern and Ronald Park Avenue, that still remain, despite calls from residents, we are now on the case.
How many more patches??
